I employ techniques that are tailored specifically to your needs. In our brilliant, technologically savvy world many of us spend much of our time in our heads, contemplating, planning, problem solving and out of our bodies. We learn to disassociate from the pain we incur from standing, sitting, carrying our children, and overall life-living in order to manage our daily routines. Some of the symptoms of this you may experience are anxiety, insomnia, headaches, depression, irritability, fatigue and chronic soreness. Soreness of the mind/body/spirit connection is one of the most debilitating things. Through conscious bodywork and/or coaching we can re-establish a strengthened connection and a renewed sense of hope and well being. Becoming grounded will provide the foundation for you to flourish in all aspects of your life.
I mindfully integrate Swedish, Deep Tissue, Craniosacral, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi, Structural Foot Balancing, Touch for Health, Energy Kinesiology, and Vibrational Massage Therapy techniques to create a unique transformative approach to each individual's healing. I also work with the energetics of the tissues to create harmony and homeostasis in the body. Physical manipulation of the muscle works through muscle congestion, allowing it to relax and more easily communicate with the rest of your body. Emotional as well as physical traumas are stored in our tissues and require love and attention to return to optimal function. With my conscientious somatic approach coupled with verbalized guided meditations while on table I have had the opportunity to witness many beautiful cathartic releases. These modalities working in tandem allow those willing to enter into meditative states that encourage healing at a cellular level. Sometimes the quiet stillness that is permitted on the table (or in "massage-land" as I like to call it) is the only quiet stillness we have time to indulge in in our busy lives!
Through another aspect of my work we can take a deeper look at repetitive stress and how to find relief. Growing up we learn to walk and move from our loved ones and often inherit similar holding patterns which are detrimental to our physical comfort. The ways we stand, walk, and hold ourselves can be easily interpreted and lovingly realigned to create more space and fluidity in our joints. As the proprioceptors (the cells that decipher where we are in the time-space-continuum) in our joints are able to communicate more freely our propensity toward dis-ease can be soothed and we can begin to live more whole-ly. I whole-heartedly believe in a holistic approach to healing, and working from the ground up creates the best long-lasting results. Are you ready to feel better today?
